Warlock lvl. 1

Name: Lucienne (Luce) Lykoris Race: Variant Human Class: Warlock - Celestial Luce is an eccentric and outgoing individual who is, to put it quite simply, a liar. He was raised by his mentor, Thatcher, who took him in when he was young when his family supposedly abandoned him. Raised to be made in his image and to become a master interrogator. But Lucienne has a soft heart that Thatch could never quite train out of him. But even with his bleeding heart, trust is something that doesn’t come easy for Luce. He is constantly putting on a facade and charming others but rarely will show his true intent or emotions. Something Thatch ingrained in him from a young age. He longs for change and to be free from the grasp of his mentor. But at the same time this life is all he has known and he feels trapped. That step away from Thatcher seems impossible. So instead of foolishly hoping for a brighter future he simply focuses on getting one day further. Getting his job done to appease Thatch, and getting to partake in things that make him happier. His friends, swindling, and taking a new person home each night. Once he makes his pact with his patron, Lucienne’s whole existence is going to be turned upside down. His patron, who sees his ledger of lies, wants to make a deal with him. Balance must be achieved. Truths must be told for every lie that Luce has ever spoken. And in exchange he will grant Luce the power to become independent. To be able to help rather than to harm. Well Lucienne’s never been the best at reading, especially finer print. So when he signs the pact he will be quick to realize that he is ONLY able to speak in truths. Everytime he tries to lie he will instead be unable to and compelled to blurt out the truth. Which is going to be quite the learning curve for him. (And just a fun visual side note: Luce has long black hair and as the campaign progresses his hair is going to start turning white from the roots. Like a visual tracker of his pact and the balance. And once he has told enough truths to balance his ledger his hair will be fully white in the end! Which may take a whileeee…) And also just a note for Francis Bonin specifically, music is a big way that I connect with my character! Which is why I am ecstatic for this opportunity to work with you. There is a song which is sort of what inspired Luce in the first place. This song is “First Light” by Hozier. The song is what I see as that turning point of him making his pact. And for once he sees that light of the future and the possibilities it holds.
